I have unyielding reverence for you Lord,
But this religion has distorted who you truly are to me.
You saved me from something so sinister and I will always be grateful for your intervention,
Yet I have been forced to feel estranged from you.
While I am aware you will run to me the moment I turn back to you,
Waves of guilt pass over me frequently for not protecting our sacred bond.
There is no greater certainty other than in your existence and my inevitable demise,
This body will return to this earth as the dirt you have created me with.
Behind the fear of divine judgement there is relief in knowing that I will return to you,
For eternity.
