The sunspot

The sunspot:

The cold creeps into my bones, but by now I’m used to it. I could pretend, but really what’s the point?

There’s only one place I could go, that no one else would know. The sunspot,

My eternal place of happiness.

The dark knows me by name, and it calls out to me when it knows I’m fading away. Yet the face in my mirror continues to laugh when I know of nothing funny.

And when it’s raining, the bugs are no longer around.

I feel helpless,

But there’s one place I could go, that no one else would know, The sunspot,

My eternal place of happiness.

The sunspot,

Eternal warmth,

Eternal happiness.
