I stand before the shore
Once more
The horizon, familiar yet it looks so wrong
The waves whisper a name I’ve never knew,
But heard before
Salt stings like déjà vu, reversed.
A memory that never belonged.
The sky bends, a mirror cracked,
Colors bleed where they shouldn’t be,
And I wonder if the sea remembers me.
Each tide a stranger’s hand,
Pulling me toward a world I knew,
But no longer recognize
Where the familiar dissolves into something new
And comfort is there the least.
