Tune: Kingsfold
(\'I heard the voice of Jesus say\')
Psalm 84 v.1-10
********
How amiable, how lovely
Your dwellings, O Lord, be
My soul longs, even for them faints
They be free from sin\'s taints
My heart, my flesh does cry out for
The living God for sure
Even the sparrow finds house there
With her nestlings does share
And swallow too, there nests they lay
Secure, safe there alway
Even in your house, My King you
And my God here are true
Blessed are they that in your house dwell
Your praises they shall tell
Blessed are they whose strength is in you
And in heart your ways too
They pass through valley of weeping
Named Baca, but still sing
Tears added to rains make a well
Blessings that never fail
They go from strength to strength, each one
And forgotten are none
Each one before God appears in
Zion, He dwells therein
O Lord of hosts, hear my prayer, give
Ear to me, so I live
Behold, O God our shield, and look
On us, we not forsook
For a day in your dwelling place
Is better, we do trace
Than be a thousand days elsewhere
For we your presence share
