Divine Energy
We have always sought a connection with the divine.
There is a reason the French terms for de vigne or du vin
means of the vine and of of wine in English.
A person searching for water in barren terrain is a diviner,
using a divining rod, a special stick of wood in the shape
of a “Y” used to find the hidden spring of replenishing water.
We devein shrimp and crawfish. Let us devein ourselves –
of tubes and corpuscles – to replace them with pathways
of pure energy and electricity, pulsating and vibrating
through our bodies to reinvigorate and renew.
We transmit, transform, transfigure, transmorph, transmute
and transcend the transom as we transition to a new
entity, emerging with energy and enlightenment.
Our energy existed before us, is with us, and shall survive us
after we depart from our earthly existence.
We each of us become a light, a flame. To those we meet
we share the light, as candle to candle, flame to flame is spread –
until there is a connection between us all, a shared energy and brilliance.
We have a conflagration congregation. But this is not a fire that burns
and destroys; it is like the burning bush of the Old Testament. It burns
but does not consume. It gives forth light and shines coolly, emitting
neither heat nor fear of destruction.
Open minds may join, connect, learn, assuage and ameliorate.
Closed minds create confusion and condemnation.
