Today is the first day of school.
I wonder who I will meet. I hope
my teacher is nice and assigns me
a comfortable seat.
I wonder if the other kids are as
nervous as I; but more importantly,
we become friends, and that they
are kind.
So easy to make fun of others\' faults;
much harder to accept them for who
they are; differences and all.
Can\'t wait to share all they teach us,
and eat that yummy lunch right after
recess.
When Mom comes to pick me up; I
will tell her what I learned...
...and the many adventures I have had;
like the extra cookie I snuck
during lunchtime, that I placed
in my bag.
Can\'t wait to go back tomorrow but for
now...I\'m happy to be home.
Watch cartoons, play with my brother...
just enjoy my family.
Tonight, I\'ll take a bubble bath
with lots of foam.
It\'s great to be a kid!
