Gave you a needle to sew my heart-
full of wounds yet so full of love.
Alas! You took the needle and pricked my vessel
The vessel now devoid of the nectar you poisoned.
Guess my embrace felt like a rose,
Comforting yet full of prickly thorns
My love never flows-
like this & in a blink of an eye, you were gone.
I was your soldier, and now, I am your martyr
I honour this martyrdom with admiration, regret
and fear.
Fear of you finding another muse,
Regret of hurting you and regret of letting myself be used
But in awe of the fantasy we built on lies.
All I can do now is imagine you and listen to my cries.
