Twilights Of Yesterday

Night air trembling

Soft dark assembling

Old ghosts resembling

The shape of me

Shadow hands reaching

Half truths teaching

Distant echoes breaching

My memory’s gate

Moon pulse humming

Storm signs coming

Heartbeats drumming

Against my ribs

Dream war rising

Fate revising

Every fear disguising

Itself as light

Time cracks glowing

Cold winds blowing

Yesterday showing

Its hidden face

Thoughts keep twisting

Old wounds insisting

Lost names listing

Inside my chest

Dawn breath shaking

Nightfall breaking

Truth threads waking

Beneath the smoke

Eyes blink open

Spell still unbroken

Words left unspoken

But I return

Yesterday lingers

Dust on my fingers

A shadow that clings or

Refuses to fade
