Tune: Franconia
(\'Blest are the pure in heart\')
Ephesians 1 v.13-14
*********
In Christ you too trusted
By God you to Him led
Heard gospel of your salvation
Open to each nation
After that you believed
The Spirit you received
In Christ, by the Spirit you sealed
Promise to you revealed
The Spirit, down payment
Earnest, first instalment
Of our inheritance until
God\'s purpose shall fulfil
Will be to redeem full
Purchased possession all
Purchased by Christ\'s life, that we be
To God\'s praise and glory
