Tristan Robert Lange

the waning

the reason for the season?—
my mind commits treason
for no apparent reason,
and all there is left is pain—
like an exit wound drain,
curetted and left plain;
its seepage my bane.
treason committed
by my mind
against my
brain

as i watch
the sun
wane.
