Surely this cannot be God\'s likeness
This patronization and inferiority
Whoever told me there was an indelibility in life ever sought after its meaning and not the substance
Pertaining to what it is to be alive.
There are the scars
I see them every day
The darkness permeates these lesions and bleeds into the recollections that incited them
What a poor option
What a poor excuse
There was never a reason, no matter the desperation to find one. It\'s a lop-sided stake, and its curvature punctures wounds through the chambers of a constricted heart
As it shrinks
And shrinks
And shrinks
I need more
And more
And more
To satisfy this burning desire for distraction - the distractions that tend to my ignorance of the finite leap for never was it so taxing
And even less wanton is that finite leap of life
Lost in the zeal of obsessive permanence and affinity.
