Tune: St Magnus [Series: Hymns with Saints Tunes 18]
(\'The head that once was crowned with thorns\')
Psalm 32 v.6-9
***********
By word of the Lord heavens were
Made, we agree, \'tis sure
And all the host of them by His
Breath created all this
He gathers waters of the sea
Into a heap, so be
Lays up deep sea in storehouses
Creates as He pleases
Let all the earth the Lord now fear
And unto Him draw near
Let all who the world inhabit
Stand in awe of Him fit* (*aptly, suitably)
For He spake, and then it was done
His wonders, works, each one
He commanded, and each stood fast
He makes them strong to last
