Oh, my beloved, how do I end it with you?
Oh, my beloved, how do I end it with you?
Why are you so full of hope? I no longer love you, my little one,
and the sunflowers in the garden fall
into a dryness of sorrow and tragedy
for the love destroyed and finished by me.
Oh, my little one, what happy moments,
though few were lived; I sink into grief,
I will no longer see your smile, and perhaps your soul
will fill with hatred, but I no longer love you,
I don\'t want to make you suffer.
Fields full of sunflowers wither in autumn
and you drift further from me, as when everything changed;
it\'s been a while: we loved each other, but love withers
and habit caught us by surprise. Better to end it all, oh my little flower.
Memory after memory; my decision is made:
I do not love you, from your life I will vanish,
and you will remain in my memory like my great sunflower
that bloomed on Easter morning.
I don\'t want to hurt you, my beautiful lady,
but what\'s the use of keeping up the farce
if we don\'t see each other and we forget, if we vanish
and speak only every few days?
Better to end it, for it was already foretold;
and when you knew it, I felt it too.
I will never forget you, and in the verse of my poetry
you will be my great sunflower that shines in summer,
that always opens its petals to those it loves
and that made mother earth smile.
Oh, divine sunflower, I will never forget you and will always remember you
in my soul and heart. Here stands your servant.
Feeling.
Being in relationships where love doesn\'t last is hard
and it makes you indifferent toward your partner, because you feel cornered
and you want to get out of there. It\'s sad to make another person feel destroyed,
but if you are tired and mean to cause no harm to yourself or make
the other person suffer, you must fly like a bird and leave that cell,
even if it wounds the one who loves you.
But if you don\'t feel right, it\'s better to leave; that is what the verse explains:
HOW DO I END IT, OH MY BELOVED, WHY ARE YOU SO FULL OF HOPE?
It is a feeling, a longing; it is the wanting to leave and bear no more.
It is living with oneself and leaving the rest in the past,
always holding, hand in hand, your physical and mental wholeness first.
It is questionable, but if you suffer it is better to leave that deep
and desolate ocean, that abandoned tunnel, to come to know yourself
and believe in yourself; even if the other person suffers, you must always come first.
