I will follow the Lord through shadow and flame,
When the road is uncertain, I’ll call on His name.
Though the mountains rise high and the valleys grow deep,
His promise will guide me; His watch over me keep.
No storm can undo me, no darkness prevail,
For faith is my compass when courage grows frail.
The world may oppose me, and kingdoms may fall,
But the voice of my Shepherd will lead through it all.
Not sorrow, nor suffering, nor fear of the night
Can silence the hope that He kindles with light.
And even when death stands before me unseen,
I will rest in His mercy, steadfast and serene.
My heart will not wander, my spirit won’t flee;
The Lord is my strength, and His truth makes me free.
Until I reach heaven, my vow I proclaim:
I’ll follow my Savior
and honor His name.
