PRISON
In the quiet gentleness of living in a prison,
a prisoner of the world, with no freedom to fly,
a soul confined and bound within a prison without bars.
Patiently waiting in that place ruled by shadows,
in that time where only a few rays of light pass through,
where hope slowly slipped away.
In the hour of departure,
with a longing to reach my true home,
within that glimmer shining through the prison bars,
wrapped in the sorrow of waiting,
searching for the light.
In that pause,
in that lingering rhythm of time,
in this game of life I do not understand,
among shadows and lights fading into the wind,
while the soul longs to return to that place,
that haven where it may rest,
where it may love,
at last.

En la suavidad de vivir en una cárcel,
presidiario del mundo, sin libertad para volar,
ese alma encerrada y atada en ese presidio sin barrotes.
Esperando pacientemente, en ese lugar presidido por las sombras,
en ese tiempo donde apenas pasan los rayos de luz,
donde la esperanza se fue escapando.
En el tiempo para partir,
en esas ganas de llegar a mi lugar,
en ese resplandor entre los hierros de la cárcel,
envuelto en la pena de la espera,
en busca de la luz.
En ese impasse,
en ese compás que se alarga,
en ese juego de la vida, que no entiendo,
entre sombras y luces que se desvanecen en el viento,
mientras el alma pide volver a ese lugar,
ese sitio donde reposar,
donde amar,
al final.
