A Family Man

He rises early

Before the sun

Can paint the sky

He carries worries

In quiet pockets

Never counting

Their weight

His hands are maps

Creased with labor

Marked by years

Of giving

He builds with patience

Not only houses

Not only meals

But trust

His laughter lingers

In hallways

A light left on

For those returning home

When storms arrive

He stands firm

Not because

He feels no fear

But because

Someone must be

The steady tree

When winds grow wild

His wealth is measured

In bedtime stories

Holiday photographs

And voices calling him Dad

The world may never

Know his sacrifices

But a family remembers

Every unseen act

Stitched into their lives

And when the day ends

He sits among those he loves

Understanding that success

Was never about what he owned

But about the hearts

Gathered around him

That is a family man

Not perfect

Not fearless

Just faithful

Day after day

Love after love

Year after year
