I stand and stare sometimes for days
On shifting sands at milky ways
As starlight lays across the sea
I wonder if you think of me
As racing waves chase those before
While making way for even more
As tides come in to melt with sand
I wish you were still in this land
Lives can change and change again
Winds can blow not knowing when
My love for you may never die
With crashing waves I wonder why
While moonbeams dance on a rocky beach
The travail of life is here to teach
And sea birds wait to start their days
With shifting sands and milky ways
