The Luncheon

It all started at a luncheon where you had a head count of forty-nine,
The problem was that you needed fifty people so there wasn’t enough to dine
So then you walked outside and went across the street,
There laid a drunk man that you just had to meet.
That’s when you asked him if he wanted a free meal,
The drunk got a smile on his face and said it was a deal.
He sat on a curb next to an old bar,
That’s only because he didn’t have a car.
The poor guy really stunk to high Heaven,
When’s the last time you took a bath Kevin?
When you are drunk there’s a big pink elephant that you may see,
That’s what they say, I didn’t know everyone saw it, just only me.
That was the best luncheon they ever had,
Too bad the drunk wont get to attend another one, how sad.
