(sonnet attempt # XV)
XV
Now softly falling, thickly, light fat flakes,
Quite silencing so deftly all the world.
The sweetest stillness now pervades and swirls
Enchantingly all 'round, and overtakes
The usual bustle life incessant makes:
As if some hand the wand has twirled.......
Majestic, breathless, purity unfurled!
Replacing, blanketing, creating...wakes
A rev'rence....Sparkling eyes, exuberance
Yet tempered by its peace, we gaze and dream
On winter wonderland where once was bareness,
Which beckoning enticingly, "Come hence!"
Yet also making cozier it seems
Indoors.....so happily both worlds doth bless.
