CCXVIII
When morning dawns in cloudless beauty pure
And clear, with glory gilding wak'ning day
As soft blue skies appear and dulcet lays
Greet with their cheer, the face of all demure
As of a maiden in first blush allures;
Her gentle rosy flush erases grey
Of ling'ring night's dim pall, o'erspreading rays
Of golden pink, with promise fresh assures
A chance to live and breathe, with love to fly.
As likewise gloaming's kiss "goodnight" in dear
Unclouded heaven's softest azure sky,
As velvet dark approaches nigh in rear,
Quite blesses with sweet tender romance, aye:
Love ever dancing through our lives down here.
