Oh moonlit night! The world awash delights!
Its ambience complete with varied lays
And serenades from insects and frogs sways;
The ecstasy of chalky scenes excites,
As day's familiar landscape now invites;
With dear mystique all verdure it displays
In lunar glow engages once more: rays
And splashes, silhouettes in shades of whites!
The clouds in brilliant snowy hues o'erhead,
Tinged vibrant colours rare seen elsewhere,
Float silent in that sea that none can tread.
While underfoot lush carpets welcome bare
Soles' naked relish, cooling cheer outspread.
Fair summer ev'ning, none can match thy flair!!!
