(sonnet # CCCXCVIII)
Oh wondrous ecstasy of falling snow!
The big fat fluffy flakes quite mesmerize,
In silence softly fast descending, prize
Of briefest moments' bliss; their steady flow
Like eager children jostling, they nigh throw
Themselves in reckless sweet abandon, skies
How richly full of dancing white surprise,
Down, ever downwards, hasty in their show.
It halts me happ'ly in my tracks, aghast
With sheer delight, in breathless awe, the fair
Sight worth the laden seconds tripping past.
Then swiftly as they'd come, they left here ere
The scen'ry could prove that it'd snowed, repast
Of dulcet pleasure, flav'ring grey despair.
