Venomous bite, the spite of the nectar
Simple boundaries to this dominion
Take caution, the cherry tree’s protector
And defer denying daft opinion
Through the earth, walks millions of her big boots
Emerald heaves of leaves below the tree
What was said to all men the fig like fruits
Foreign thieves receives what they can’t foresee
Pick a cherry and savor the flavor
Scarlet fruit of the gods divinely placed
Sly devils to sneak into your favor
Sultry surrender never mind the taste
Call of the tree in the fog of the night
Falling deeper and deeper, manic lows
Try as you might, fight that futile fight
Yet crave relentless power it bestows
Glimpse through the branches, sun’s hot flashes
Take that thought and burn the tree to ashes
