What a world we are living in today
Where children are being tossed away
There is no place for you to sleep
And there is nothing for you to eat
I cry for the children
You awake to find everything gone
Abandoned and left all alone
Unwanted by today's society
Unanswered prayers for your pleas

Treated wrongly, it should not be allowed
Will we ever understand why and how
How can we do this to such a precious resource
We must learn to change our course
I cry for the children
For parents that lose their children at any stage
Gone too soon no matter their age
My prayers go out for all of you
And tears will suerly fall, I cry with you
I cry for the children
So, everyone stand and help them out
Show the world what indifference is about
We need to change our world's view
Hopefully, no more lost children to make news
