I\'ve learned tell a rat
at a thousand paces.
Not by his walk or
his clothes or his face
it\'s,
his persuasive charm
that will do you harm.
His will is not negotiable
he won\'t let you be sociable.
He\'s a Dominator,
not a lover but a hater.
He\'s Ok, if he gets his own way
but if not, he\'ll see you later.
He\'s out to control you
if you fall he won\'t console you
he\'ll be the first to give you a kick
he tells you every day that your stupid and thick.
His trick
is to keep you down
does like your smile at all
prefers it when you frown.
He\'s a confidence trickster
Big mouth twister.
Deception crime
and pleasure mixer.
Tells you one minute
his love will never die
don\'t dare question it
he\'ll black your eye.
He\'ll disrespect you,
constantly reject you
negate your very being.
Never sharing
keeps the best for himself
He uses you, abuses you,
then puts you back upon the shelf.
He treats you like a personal slave
smashes things if you dont behave.
He shouts and swears,
slams about and glares
He cheats and lies
as he looks you in the eyes
he has no shame
the bastard is his name.
He might be the king
of his own castle
but he lives in your house
he behaves like an arsehole.
He says hates your family
but he seduces your friend.
The depths of his cruelty
has no end.
Putting you down
saying you\'re no good
never treats you as an equal
the way he should.
With words that wound
like a sharpened knife
he\'ll make you pregnant
but never his wife.
He\'ll let you down
mess you around
play fast and loose
with every woman in town.
Don\'t dare complain
he\'ll give you the blame.
Then he says your the apple
of his evil eye
If you disagree
he\'ll black your other eye.
If you stand up to him
about your human right
he thinks you must be
out for a fight.
When his broken down your will
worn you out and made you ill
he\'ll tell you that your nothing
not even worth a stuffing.
He likes to spend your money
as he smiles and calls you honey
But behind your back
he gets pissed, smokes crack.
Then on his comedown oh so tragic
he\'ll turn to you as if my magic
and play you like a dummy
he thinks its all so funny.
When he\'s taken all you had
and convinced you that your mad
He plays sweet - it makes you sour
he saps your spirit
hour by hour.
His power relies
on your pain and sorrow
You convince yourself
it will change tomorrow
So you put up
and you shut up
for another weary day
Smile sweetly, let him have his own way.
Ever hopeful that it will turn.
Come on girl won\'t you ever learn
You\'ll always loose in the power game
Believe me, victim was my middle name
Till I drew the strength to disappear
and shrug off the cloak of oppression and fear.
I stand alone on my own 2 feet
Now life for me is oh so sweet
My self esteem
has now returned.
No more a victim,
lesson learned.
Its not a saint guys
us girls are seeking
its just to be treated
as a human being.
