Prometheus gave the humans fire,
Now the consequences were quite dire!
He was bound to a rock night and day,
The loneliness around him began to sway.
Everyday a vulture came to peck out his liver,
And every night it grew back with a shiver.
He cried out, \"Is that all you can do?
Your powers are over and soon you will be through!\"
The Gods grew fearful, what if he was right?
Had the humans seen the light?
Prometheus was not like any other deity,
In fact he was quite a notoriety.
For his Promethean act of rebellion against Zeus,
The whole of mankind was let loose.
