Sublime
As I stood on the edge
Of the pavements curve,
My toes tipped over
So I could fully observe.
Tipping back my head
Feeling the enraged skies\' cry,
Drip, dripping upon my skin
Whilst inhaling the twilight sky.
Clouds of chilled air
Helplessly spiral as it descends,
Coaxing the seas approval
Tempting her hand as a friend.
A single jolt of lightening
Lit up the charcoal horizon,
For when the stained tears shone through
The fulfilled world brightened.
In that moment I was free
And that moment was mine,
A rush of life
Exposed the sublime.
