The forgotten palace
The lost forest in time
Collecting dust and vines
So subtle all the time.
Gone, so far gone
In the back of your mind
The sea of green crying
Not to be left behind.
The men lost in the gaps
In the crevices, in-between
The blackbird flying south
All alone and unforgiving.
The hair-covered beasts
Deep within their caves
All the fish in the water
So far down in their graves.
The golden cities crumbling
Lost race of civilization
Past lives still reliving
This dark accusation.
The foreboding of the lost
Discrimination of the depths
In the palm of ones hand
Is the choice right or left.
