Do You

Do you

Remember the summer

And the days we spent together?

Splashing in public fountains,

Playing games we learned from romantic films;

Although we never made the big 500.

Do you

Remember the nights

Laying wrapped in each others warmth?

In a few moments of passion,

We had been together for a lifetime;

But all life comes to end.

Do you

Remember that day?

Down on one knee

With the summer breeze blowing hair in my face.

A bejewelled ring,

And the words

\'Will you marry me?\'

You never answered.

Do you

Remember that look?

Those words?

That hurt?

Do you

Still think of me?
Think of the days and the nights together?
Do you miss it?
I asked you a question,

Long ago;
Do you want to be my wife?
Well;

Do you?
