Atop a hill, behind a tree
Amongst the clouds and carpet grass
Just her and I with wintry breeze
Along some longing to appease
Meanwhile daylight says goodbye
As yet another day goes by
Stand two witnesses, her and I
Both eager for a starry sky
With nothing more but conversation
Stirred amok by adoration
We lay there on a moonless night
As our tête-à-tête unite
A night in bare, open space
Enchanted by her ardent grace
Words off her mouth consuming stress
And phrases leading to caress
‘Till finally all words are lost
And we lay still with sheer exhaust
And succumb to a pleasant slumber
When urge to utter is no longer
Dawn comes an end to a pleasant stupor
Echoes persisting beneath the clover
Begins another outpour of emotion
With words flying off in harmonic motion
But wait
The night, seems to fade
And these images soon degrade
What’s left of it is just a blur
And traces of the days that were
No sooner as the vision stops
I find myself in sheer distraught
Along a trip down memory lane
With heart I no more can abstain
The green then starts to disappear
I close my eyes with fear
Confusion engulfs
Visions unclear
I realize my senses are at it again
From her, I cannot restrain
The floods of nostalgia, I cannot abstain
I give up, you shall remain
It’s okay, its alright
I reassure
Of this disease, there is no cure
So finally I submit
Put an end to this war
I slumber back to my heart’s encore
Atop a hill
I see her once more
