When most people hear these,
They think a series of awful words:
Sad;Terrible;Tragic;Heartbreaking;
And worst of all... Selfish
How be it selfish
To tell this world you\'re finished?
Finished with its hurt, its pain, its heartbreak?
They seem to believe
That you\'re only thinking of yourself
Whenever you... decide to end it
They believe that you are only thinking of all the horrible things that\'s happened to you
And not of all the people that always seem to be around you
That you are so caught up within yourself
That you don\'t even realize who you\'d be hurting in the process
But, see, that\'s the thing
Have they ever thought about
How long this has been going on?
How many signs they\'d missed?
Or chosen to ignore?
How many times that person had opened up to them,
And they\'d put it off as them just being
A stupid kid?
Had they known all along
That something was going on?
I think that the people who
Call suicide victims selfish
Are really just trying to mask their own venomous traits
Their guilt for not doing something
For just putting off the child\'s emotions as
Teenage hormones
I said all that to say
If you EVER hear someone call

They\'re just trying to cover up their own
