You are everywhere -
-between the warm spaces and soft rain, and the
palpable flame that burns me up with
false hope -
- the quickened breaths and warm tears,
that recall our naked passion and
your overwhelming
tenderness.
How can I ever erase the phantom of you
when you haunt my every
dream.
Sometimes,
my dreams are kind -
You and I together, kissing wine drips
from happy lips as we lay in the lush
and fruitfulness of some
ancient vineyard -
Yet, here in my wakefulness,
my heart finds no
inner peace-
it quivers endlessly from want
of you, and the insecurity that now
overpowers it.
How can I ever forget -
when
even the air I
breathe -
taste\'s of
you.
