Zion, Come Soon!
By Austin Mays
~
I hear a lot of stories,
About man made glories.
Watch the news,
Hate for views.
No one agrees,
Everyone sees.
Fight for your rights,
Yet still the world bites.
The sick roam free,
Stripping innocence\'s glee.
A woman strives for beauty,
In a world to harsh to see.
A man uses macho and pride,
To make a woman his bride.
Shootings show depravity,
Still no one recognizes the gravity.
Race is shown to be,
What makes you harassed or free.
The abused are seen as never able,
To get through the pain that wraps like a cable.
Wars break out so often,
That their graveness does soften.
Divorce springs up and marriages fail,
Faster than a person can post bail.
Oh to be with You in Zion,
Apart from this tattered throng.
But while I am here may I speak Your name,
And proclaim of Your celestial fame.
For Your love stays no matter what the situation,
To man, woman, and child in every station.
