The sunlight shines through rosy frosted glass
Silver dawn so soon shall slide into the sun
The cold gives way to warmth in which we bask
The cotton in my eyes and in my heart is gone
Banish terror sown of midnight cold
Rise with sun and wind of ages old
The frost of yestereve will melt with time
Give way to dawn with early morning chime
Where sunlit grass grows gray amidst the shade
To sleep in sun or shade in endless day
The same sun shines from June to May
The same life lingers in a lovely way
With the months as they pass forevermore
