They, across a dusty field did doom defy
The tabards too and flags did fly
The clarion call and trumpets all would vie
For blood on barren ground, so many cried
Crossed blades and carried shields
Reflecting sunlit sky
Men draw closer to their deaths, knuckles white, lips sealed
Faces grim and calloused hands on blades of steel
Marching all as one- fathers, sons, and brothers share in fear
Hard men feel nothing, boys shake as horses rear
Soldiers all, remember only death they deal
Great men and beggars arm in arm, on the battlefield
