There stood a city in the mountains \'cross the desert way
- a desert cast in monochrome and gray -
There lies an ancient battlefield, blue steel, white sky
- where tabards too and banners fly -
There stands a man, had walked since winter\'s time
- a lark among the pines -
A shaman man who swings his staff about the sky
- of yet another darkened lie -
A man that fought with death, disease, and earthly ties
- while he fought with death the candle died -
And walked into the argent purple wind of summer days
- where the same life lingers in a lovely way-
And found his rest within my pen, forevermore
