Pervasive in humanity

A path we could not see
To satisfy, in the weeping-dark
A heart, had somewhere seen
The promise of some serenity
Erased, by life with a graying sheen
Give gift of love, with lilting words
Of things, both soft and sweet
And, as we weep, stand aside and watch
One ray of sunshine beam
Be warmed by light, of hope at last
And the truth will set you free
