When you married me

When you married me you made a promise

Not only to me, but also to God

And I heard you say I DO

But you probably forgot.

When you married me you made a promise

And that promise was for life

But now that you don’t love me

You don’t want to be my wife.

When you married me you made a promise

That you will love me for better or for worse

This marriage is a blessing

But now you see it as a curse.

When you married me you made a promise

That you will love me for richer or for poor

And when life got complicated

You started walking out the door.

When you married me you made a promise

2009 the 22nd of November

It was you who said I DO

Don’t tell me you don’t remember.

When you married me you made a promise

That now you don’t want to keep

Maybe there was no love since the beginning

And that’s why you want to quit.
