Anna Becker

Her

Her

She walks down the street
Confidence lacking and steps fast
Awaiting the calls from the men on the side
“Hey baby” “”what\'s your name”
“be mine” “come here”
Who are you to tell me what to do,
who are you to ask that of me
she thinks
A man
A man more powerful
more meaningful
More valuable
Stronger

Lies

Lies told countlessly by the fools society
Repeated in the steps of the men calling
Shouting for the attention of an object named she

A women

Society\'s picture of an undermined tool
A tool used for fixing and giving
Not taking
No she never takes
She only gives

The only thing she ever takes is the smile off her face when the man on the street calls the call of humiliation
The call of shame, the call of inhumanity

the call that brings down value of something so valuable

something so unappreciated

Her

the girl that gets called at just for simply walking down a street alone
