Habibi

Orient elephants

I\'ve never been one for a great venture

For fear

Of hearing wind rushing in my ears

You make orients patterns out of your lies

To keep hidden in your disguise

A shame, really,

How many believe you

 So close your eyes

The world breaths you in

Taking, taking, taking

And when there\'s nothing less

They turn their knives on you

Of course, they shouldn’t have expected less

I\'m sorry

For lacking in nothing

But courage

To help you reside

Upon a dark lake

To where you will take pride

Till the end, you are immortal

Trying to break the surface

Toujours, tu est mon petit mort

Dear child, without youth

Your seas are trembling

Cold air shoots inside me

I\'m on my knees

My brain rattling in my unbroken skull

In the end all we\'re left with is bruised skin

For I remember the day

I let the wind caress my rib cage

And let it rap me in it\'s haze

My eyes grew in size

From the climb not the gaze

And now

I understand your white rabbit lies

Sing me a lullaby
