In the absolute dead of winter
we found a forbidden hill.
It was supposed to be off limits
But we took the risk in the chill.
All four of us in our winter gear,
We took the sleds and made a huge rut,
and laughed so hard as we flew down.
Then my husband broke the sled with his butt!
I thought the kids might get upset,
but it was, of course, below zero!
That meant we got to go back home
And their dad was the ultimate hero!
