Daniel

Old man in a modern world

When I was still young
So many Many years ago
We had black & white TVs
And recorded songs off the radio

No internet or smartphones
You bought music from stores
No streaming or downloads
Just magnetic tapes or records

There was no shopping online
Cookies were something you\'d eat
And laptops wifi and 4G
Were only the stuff of dreams

You couldn\'t video chat or tweet
Mobile phones were the size of a fridge
Messages were only instant
If you shouted it across the street

No need to venture out of your house
When the world is now online
But I still crave the human touch
Of a far more simpler time
