He Who Writes

Blind oblivion cannot strike when it has nothing,

So can humans when so defenseless battle an enemy

Who is invisible to them,

Should their debtor who wronged them so, be caught in their own destruction, the world would not bat an eye.

Nay can man fight an enemy looking to stab them from behind,

When a friend is there to cover it so selflessly.

Truly those who write remain because they themselves remained

Long enough to write,

So friends I tell you heed these words

As a herald’s cry,

A teacher’s lesson,

A friend’s advice,

For this I tell you as a warning,

So you do not make the same mistakes

As I.
