My only escape from life\'s waking weep
Watching the clock hands redundant day
Horizontal view from a leatherette lay
Loneliness in a crowded supermarket shop
watching many conversational jaws drop
Has no one ever heard a man screaming
Shock on faces when released from dreaming
Just another few hours before I\'m in bed
I can then escape from my daylight waking dread.
