What\'s
What\'s new in this weathered house of worship
Widowed from its priests\' past?
Why
Why crawfish stew served with warm willing friendship,
o\'er fire and brimstone wrath.
Where too
Where too Bonny wee girls gleefully whirl and then curl
In our father\'s and mother\'s laps,
Whilst
Whilst fans turn \'neath wooden knurled
Ceiling\'s narrow ancient slats,
Whetting
Whetting loft stirrings of Kierkegaard,
Cliburn, Prufrock, Freud, and Sarte,
Warbling
Warbling sweet existential love song\'s lost medicinal art
Of savory discourse at vespers\' ends.
What\'s
What\'s new in the old red church are my friends.
