This, the death of the human flame,
The fire that differentiates with the ape,
But its death now makes us in spirit the same,
No longer our condition to gape.
The human flame as a babe cries out in alarm,
Calling to any who are near,
Her blood splattered by those who cradled her in arm,
Now falls on the ground, but none hear.
By human’s water the flame is going out,
And human water makes it gasp for breath,
There is no exit, escape, or route,
this now is the time of our fire’s death.
Death to the human flame in every tense,
This human flame, intelligence.
