Berlin.

I remember when I used to walk down all those lonely streets
finding things I never knew and what the hell it is I should do
ladies looked like apricots and all the men wore tartan skirts
dancing to the techno playing loud through all those scary nights
where the Nigerians over-ruled those dirty drug dealing Turks
I was lost and broke but drank another for every road I took
you were on the road to Mandalay, and I was on the road in Berlin
and underneath it all, I learned my new life here shall begin
distracted by the ignition of the night that draws the soul towards
the hustle and the bustling of human spirit fighting to survive
yet, rejoicing in peace, love and all the understanding of life given
to the cosmopolitan atmospheric heat that dances with ecstasy
a feeling inside me like nothing before, since or after but I\'m hoping
an imagination of the dream I have will one day burst into life
taking me home to the place I love, the gates of heaven are above.
