She had it coming, though she never saw it coming
They knocked on the door, number 154
There were chalk lines placed and her cold, numb face
A smell in the air, uncommonly rare
One you wouldn’t dare, try to place
Fresh from the court, Inspector Mort
Surveys the floor of 154
A squalid place, a horrid face
Amongst this grime, a horror crime
As he begins to pace
Mr Clyde looks in, but his trademark grin
Is nowhere to be seen, in this grotesque scene
As the flies buzz around, the cold, dead ground
Photos taken, neighbours shaken
Mrs. Black in her favourite gown
“Who lives down the hall, maybe he saw it all?”
They knock at his door, number 164
Mr Morgan is away, but his organ still plays
Tunes so sad, he must have had
A tragedy along the way
In walks Mrs. Lear, it’s god she fears
The feelings she lacks, for Mrs. Black
“An early grave, couldn’t be saved
For she had wronged” is taken from
That holy book she waves
Little Jimmy Ray, must look away
Teddy bear in his arms, sweaty little palms
Mother at his side, her eyes are wide
His father still asleep, Mrs. Ray starts to weep
Little Jimmy Ray must hide
Inspector Mort, has crippling thoughts
Decides to go back to Mrs. Blacks
Hears through the wall, from down the hall
An organ play, Mr Morgan’s away
Or so they say, but it’s been 4 days
He will knock, the door is locked
Much to his shock, the organ stops
And suddenly, the penny drops
Breaks down the door of 164
And walks right through, but who is who?
And there’s Mr. Morgan sat at his organ
Crooked shoulders, just like they told us
Proceeds to stand up, with his hands up
A grin on his face, as he starts to pace
Up and down the floor of 164
“Mrs Black had it coming, though she never saw it coming
I strolled right in and grinning a grin
Took her by surprise, as she opened her eyes
I closed them again, counted to 10
11, 12, 13, I left the scene
And standing there, with his teddy bear
Was Little Jimmy Ray, wanted only to play
But I declined and left behind
A weeping boy with his little toy
He began to wail, Mrs. Black so pale
But I had to put an end to this sorry tale”
Inspector Mort, luckily brought, his .44, to 164
Morgan’s took away but the organ still plays
And standing there with his teddy bear
Little Jimmy Ray, but he cannot look away
And as they say every dog has its day
And standing there, by the fateful chair
With his teddy bear is Little Jimmy Ray
Cannot look away, he can only pray
That it will go fast, it’s quarter past
As Morgan drops, his organ stops
It’s 6.16 in this grotesque scene
And a smell in the air, uncommonly rare
For a scene so violent, it is so silent
Until the organ sounds, they turn around
Sitting there, with his teddy bear, is Little Jimmy Ray
