Keep with me, a fire light
Kindle firmly, not despite the dark
But in favor of the shadows, to make bright
Also our hearts, through this night
And too warm, as if a spark
Ignited, somewhere within your eyes
Has made to smolder my soul, like paperbark
And on my heart an equal mark
That it should beat with longer strides
To burn away the winter ice
Whose chill in which we do, our fears confide
Such that these coals may never die
Oh, I should say that it would be nice
On some blustery, winter night
Where we may, together, on dreams embark
To tend a fire by your side
