SAINT VALENTINE was a Christian Priest in 3rd C Rome
AND CHRISTIAN MARIAGE was forbidden by Claudius
IT WAS DIFFICULT for Valentine to refuse to marry the
NEWLY converted Young Christians in a very permissive
TIME when polygamy (several wives) was very popular !
VALENTINE had to marry the Young Couples in secret
AND he was imprisoned for his illicit marriages. And
EVENTUALLY he was condemned to death for his crime. A
NOTE sent to the Judge\'s Daughter ~ who he cured from
THE LOSS OF SIGHT ~ was signed \"From Your VALENTINE\"
IN 269 AD Valentine was Beaten ~ Stoned and Decapitated.
NOW we celebrate Valentine\'s Day with Cards & Red Roses
EVERY CARD & TOKEN is a symbol of Everlasting Love ~ AMEN
